Are your kids begging you to take them camping, but you justcan’t find the time to take them on a trip? Or would youlike to introduce your kids to the fun of for the firsttime, but aren’t sure if they will enjoy it, or might getscared? Either way, out in your backyard will be a funway to spend the evening and night with your kids. Get the kids involved in setting up camp in your backyard. Havethem help you set up the tent. Put them in charge of gettingtheir sleeping bags, flashlights and anything else they may needinto the tent. If it’s an option for you, you may even want tomake a campfire in your backyard. Check with your firedepartment before hand if this is an option in your area. Ifnot, just dig out the charcoal or gas grill. Grill some hotdogsand make some foil backed potatoes for dinner, and of courseyou’ll need some s’mores for desert. If you are roasting themarshmallows over your grill, put some aluminum foil over thegrate to keep the melting marshmallow from dripping onto yourgrill.
